Track Name: 53rd
The highway sounds
They stand tall
Not near the mountains
At least I don't hear the crows call
Calling near the sea
The only lakes here are the greats up north
But I won't even catch a glimpse
Until age 16

MJ hit his peak
Near the house I slept in for 3 years
Before I moved for the first and only time to the east
I kept my head high
I'm sure I didn't like leaving all the friends I'd ever had
I wasn't even 5
Track Name: Southern State of Mind
It sends shivers down my spine
A lesson learned
Enlightening concepts
About the southern state of mind
You tell us more than we want to know
Through sights
Supercilious lights
My house on fire
Because I can’t live dark

She mutters in her sleep
Tells me to leave
But yet I am strong enough
To stay hidden behind
The walls of reality
That cringe my own trust

And still I must get on with my life
And still I can’t be all right
Despite what you say
Until you realize the harms of the past
That basically shut down an entire race
Track Name: Coffee Shop
Get off my back
I've been trying to see straight
Like you laughed about how much time
I hate nothing and dread the worst
Smoke signals air the coffee place
I never set in two years ago
I'll never go there for the caffeine

Have you ever been striving to tell me
Why you opened up your eyes
While these words were torn apart and grimly glued back together?
Only time will tell if you were right
And I was wrong before
Before we gaze upon the mirror

I'll stay away from the nicotine
That stains your mouth at the top of your lips
I hoped you'd eventually see straight
But that was already hard to believe
You've got your head up in the clouds
Not worse than drinking yourself to death
Or even close to the weed that stinks your breath

Have you ever been striving to tell me
Why you opened up your eyes
While these words were torn apart and grimly glued back together?
I don't think so
Only time will tell if you were right
And I was wrong before
Before we gaze upon the mirror
I don't think so
Track Name: Dead Forest
I wander into the forest
Of her own desired dreams
In a living sense of memories
For a shattered own belief
I shed skin into dark light
To help fight to defend
My mind from being cursed
Upon hours of months depressed

(Radio):
We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness - not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate.

A full moon rises above my head
Light shinning over my body
The gleaming signs I won't understand
Unless I endow myself a rest

Life cancels out itself
Wait for it to do the math
Only if I had known this earlier might I be a happier man
Fear was provoked years in advance
No way I'm coming forth
No way I'm going back

(Radio):
We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

I sit tight against the wall
Painted lustrous behind my back
Restless beyond belief
Yet dormant at best
My former broken belief
Was fixed once again
Not for the better
But only for the worse

Radio:
The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men - cries out for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair.

An early sun rises above my head
Light shinning over my body
The gleaming signs I hope to understand
Like a familiar eerie mist

Life cancels out itself
Wait for it to do the math
Only if I had known this earlier might I be a happier man
Fear was provoked years in advance
No way I'm coming forth
No way I'm going back

(Radio):
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people.........

You don't hate, only the unloved hate, you're not the unnatural!
Track Name: Frost
The sun beats down on the neck of a brighter day
Years lost in pure knowledge
Of being prolonged
And why might the question of death
Circle the heavens above my bed
And how might they figure out
Why really I'm sad?

Days Frost years of silence
Between me and you
Never lost in expectations
Frowned for months in your head

Leave me be in the recess of your predicted world
No longer am I the brain of molding and manipulation

Just another saga in the story of you
Let me take back the words
Spat brilliantly
True hours of pain
Through eyeing a world I tried forgetting

Let me frolic through the world
Of your predicted eyes

Days Frost years of silence
Between me and you
Never lost in expectations
Frowned for months in your head

Leave me be in the recess of your predicted world
No longer am I the brain of molding and manipulation
Leave me be in the recess of your predicted world
No longer am I the brain of molding and manipulation
Track Name: Dungeon, No Trial
Kicking it back
Winter '014
I never came to my house
Until the clock hit three
You were always on my mind
From the most recent point in my life

And I've never made it this far
I've only made it to second base
And life crumbles before your eyes
You've got to take what it gives you

I'm only trying to play modern baseball
Not american football

And don't give me a reason
To left me hate on you
And I'll try to play nice
So you'll notice me too

I'm only trying to play modern baseball
Not american football
Track Name: Hummingbird
What's more awkward than showing up late?
To a gig you planned weeks in advance?
You try and pig out some answers
While I figure out what's going on

Call it quits
Cause you know I'm gonna save you now
I bring the thunder
And the forest comes crashing down
Live wise, live free
Don't let me down

Call it quits
Cause you know I'm gonna save you now
I bring the thunder
And the forest comes crashing down
Live wise, live free
Don't let me down

The hummingbird better soothe the skin
For I keep getting all weird looks
Like you never planned that out in the first place
Oh well I must have never been sure

Why?
Why you would leave me?
Out to dry?

Call it quits
Cause you know I'm gonna save you now
I bring the thunder
And the forest comes crashing down
Live wise, live free
Don't let me down

Call it quits
Cause you know I'm gonna save you now
I bring the thunder
And the forest comes crashing down
Live wise, live free
Don't let me down
Track Name: Ghosts
Waves go flashing the surface
Dreams pour out for hours
Life never surprises
The weeks kicking back of the days we won't forget

Time cures all the errors
Thought by leaving the past open
I found my lost note book by the sink
It kept rumors only meant for me

Don’t leave what’s expected
Don’t hide what they all hate
Show your true colors always
Make sure you’re all good too
Track Name: Andrew Jarvis Drive
Held it on the top of your fingertips
Just between the gasp of air
We march to the files we bonded to
Age fourteen and a half

Cars collide at the end of the drive
And let's bury our minds in the guilt and shame of a good friend
He indirectly led us to his pit of despair
Maybe as a cry for help

Let's not forget
All our laughs, and all our time spent
Let's not forget
The simple mistakes can always be fixed
But maybe we're simply unlucky
And all words can do is harm what's there
My friend, my friend

I'll be waiting here
With a hand-full of frames
That you'll never figure out
Maybe it's the parlance
Maybe it's the confab for you
I'm never letting go
